This ship is an absolute MUST if you enjoy your cruising. Donna and I (children and all) sailed her across the Atlantic on her way to Sicily where she received a US$55m revamp in 2006. It really was an awesome experience and even though hammering and drilling could sometimes be heard in preparation for her refurbishment, the staff and crew were very clear "it was business as usual" See our blog here! Celebrity Cruises is definitely upping the ante, and this will motivate other lines to pick up their game.

The one coming to OZ is, Celebrity Century, is also a beauty.

She was refitted in 2006 to the tune of US$55 million, with 314 new verandas, a new Murano restaurant and the Martini Bar.

Celebrity Martini Bar’s are the coolest bar ever seen on any ship; and Murano is very elegant!  These are two venues to seek out.

The day spa was totally gutted and redesigned (even introducing the industry’s first treatment room for people with disabilities).

Century also has very spiffy staterooms and suites, among the best you'll find in ships departing from Australia.

With a maximum of about 1800 passengers, the ambience is more “intimate” than the megaliners, without being too close for comfort.

All in all, she’s certainly a contender for Australia’s sail of the century!

ITINERARIES

Celebrity Cruiseshas launched a new series of vacations on Celebrity Century, debuting in Australasian waters in November 2011.

A range of brand new itineraries will see Century sail between Sydney and Auckland, as well as its maiden circumnavigation of Australia available in two 18-night segments.

Geraldton, Broome, Darwin, Cairns, Brisbane, Adelaide, Albany, Bunbury and Perth are among some of the ports Century will visit for the first time.

As well, there are opportunities to sail her Honolulu to Sydney, and visa versa.

FARES

HOT off the press cruise fares are now available! A registration deposit may be required however is refundable in the event that securing a stateroom wasn't successful.

The cruise line may however withhold an administration fee in the evnt an offer to accept a deal is declined.
